County Task Force Information

WASHINGTON COUNTY

Vicky and Dennis Moore spent 5 hours (traveling to/from)Washington County on April 18, 2000 to speak to commissioners expressing the need for a county railroad safety task force. Also present was Mr. Ted Sushka, County Engineer. Already concerned about unmarked "passive" crossings and having applied to the PUCO for upgrades, commissioners agreed they would consider establishing a task force to identify and prioritize all crossings in their county working with Angels on Track Foundation. Vicky will follow up. P.S. Two days after our trip, a woman was hit by a train at a "passive" unmarked grade crossing. Luckily she survived.
